The WAL-PL-LED-R1-USB-LI-MSPC from Larson Electronics is a Rechargeable LED Pen Light for portable illumination. This Type II MIL-SPEC device operates using a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and offers up to 250 lumens of illumination in high mode. Constructed of aluminum and gasket-sealed glass, the water/impact resistant unit contains a removable clip for mounting on pockets, boards, binders and more.
The WAL-PL-LED-R1-USB-LI-MSPC is a compact LED pen light that adheres to Type II MIL-SPEC construction. This unit is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and comes with a tear-resistant nylon holster. During use, operators can select between high and low modes, which provides 250 lumens (high - 357.6 feet max distance) and 90 lumens (low - 190.2 feet max distance) of output. Activation is facilitated by a push button tail switch. The black pen light is constructed of abrasion and corrosion-resistant anodized aircraft aluminum, with a gasket-sealed glass lens. This IPX4 rated unit is impact resistant up to 1 meter.
Charging is facilitated by a micro-USB port with a protective cover. This LED pen light features a maximum runtime of 3.5 hours (low) or 1.5 hours (high). Charge time takes roughly 2.5 hours to complete.
LED Benefits:
Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
