For the best performance and the biggest lift on your Polaris Ranger XP 900, you need a set of 8” GDP Portals. They give you the ground clearance you need to fit up to 30” tires, and with your choice of a 45%, 60%, or massive 70% gear reduction, you’ll have wicked torque that’ll rip through anything. Or get the most extreme portal lift with dual idler gears. If you want to turn your Ranger into the ultimate party wagon, get an 8” GDP Portal Gear Lift.
What is a Dual Idler: Perfection takes time. After years of research and development, we’ve made our dual idler gear portals unlike any other. By placing a second idler gear in the portal box, the load gets spread over twice as much surface area for more reliable torque transfer and the strongest gear set you can get. Two idler gears don’t do a thing if they’re not mated perfectly, though. Precision CNC grinding ensures ours do. Our gears are made from the industry’s toughest 9310 steel alloy. Didn’t think dual idlers mattered? With GDP’s quality and experience, they finally do.
45%, 60%, and 70% Gear Reductions Dominate Mud: Getting wild in the mud is all about going as big as you can. With 8” portals and your choice of 45, 60, or 70% gear reduction, you can go bigger than you thought possible. You have the ground clearance to keep from getting swamped and the gear reduction to turn monster mud grips through the bounty holes that swallow other riders whole.
A Gear Reduction That Protects Your Drivetrain: Portal gear lifts reduce the stress on your axles, differentials, prop shafts, and transmission. That’s because GDP puts the gear reduction in the hub instead of the transmission. Your machine’s drivetrain will last longer than running stock, and you can have more fun than anyone else.
Housings and Backing Plates Built Stronger: GDP Portals are the strongest you can get because we know how to make them tough. We’ve been using them and refining them for years. Whether you go with cast or USA-made, 6061 billet aluminum housings (which look awesome), you’ll get unmatched strength through superior design. Combine that with 5/16” backing plates made with an advanced steel alloy, and you’ve got the brawniest portals on the market.

Our portals use:
Frame Stiffener Required: An 8” portal kit is a heavy-duty piece of hardware for heavy-duty machines, and as awesome as the Ranger XP 900 is, it’s not quite up to snuff. That’s why a frame stiffener is required. Trust us—we’ve hit enough bumps to know that bending a stock frame can happen. Don’t do it. Get a frame stiffener.
Top-Rated Customer Service: Still need a little help getting exactly what you need? We’ve got a dedicated team just for portal support. Give us a call so we can get the perfect set of portals in your hands today.
