Vintage 2001 Simpich Character Dolls Mary Baby Jesus Joseph Nativity Set
Beautiful handcrafted Simpich Dolls featuring Mary, Baby Jesus and Joseph. Each piece is sculpted, painted and dressed by hand with layered textiles, expressive faces and rustic, lifelike details. Both figures are mounted on solid wood bases stamped: Simpich 1980 Character Dolls Original Handmade Colorado Springs, CO. These pieces have wonderful artistry and craftsmanship.
Condition: This set was previously owned. I gently cleaned the surface dust. Both figures show wear. Marys robe has small flecks throughout and Baby Jesus and Marys hair have minor paint wear. Josephs hands, hair and sandals show paint wear and small nicks. One of his feet feels slightly loose from the base. Both bases show scratches and scuffs. Please see photos for the most noticeable areas of wear. Despite these imperfections, the set still retains its charm.
